December Heros

The start of December saw Spot’s monthly outing to Heros for the usual peaceful night out of relaxing and being a pup. This month I was joined in pup mode by Scamp and his partner Mark, who were attending Heros for the first time – they seemed to enjoy it as they’re already talking about next month! My owner, however, was full of the cold, and spent the entire night snivelling at the bar, feeling a bit miserable.

Scamp brought some home-made cookies with him which the pups sat and munched on… as well as a packet of chocolate buttons! I also spent the time trying to untie people’s shoelaces, but unfortunately many people are becoming wise to this tactic now!

Other than that, there wasn’t really much else to report from Heros, probably because I was relaxed and calm before what is usually a hectic month for me. The feeling of just being down your local pub, with people dressed in Lycra mean that the night is enjoyable anyway, of course!

Just a reminder that the next Heros IS January 2nd.

November Walkabout

The last Sunday in November saw Spot having an outing to the South Bank… anyone with a good memory will know that in the run up to the end of November, there was lots of snow and freezing temperatures around the country – including London!

Now, The Zentai Project participants do not normally do walkabout’s this late in the year, but there was a special reason for this one – Foreplay Magazine wanted to do a feature on Zentai and the walkabouts we do, so this was specially arranged after much discussion.

The afternoon started with layering up the lycra – a Yellow Leotard as the base layer, then my Hoodless White Zentai followed by Spot’s normal Dalmatian Zentai. This isn’t what’s normally done – it’s usually just a white thong under the Zentai for public appearances, but due to the absolutely freezing weather, layers were the only option. Colin, the photographer, found it cold in his normal clothes but strangely, it wasn’t actually too bad in the Zentai – probably to do with the even coverage all over…

After everyone else had got changed (4 people from the group – the most we’ve had on a zentai walkabout – and Sarah, the editor of the magazine), it was decided that logically, it was best to brave the cold then conduct the interviews, giving us a chance to warm up again! We headed from the Royal Festival Hall along the South Bank heading towards the Tate Modern direction, stopping along the way for the inevitable posed photograph for the magazine, as well as random photographs with members of the public.

The most random occurrence of the day was when we stopped to get our photos taken, and one of the members of the public pulled their phone out their pocket to ask if I was the Dalmatian in the photograph she was showing me… which turned out to be a picture of me in the cage at Erotica the week before – small world! After the photos were done, we headed in to the National Theatre hoping to find a cuppa, where the editor conducted an interview with us all.

We then went and got changed and headed off to Starbucks to relax and have more of an informal chat about various things, whereupon the editor picked up that Spot is most definitely a pup! I’m not sure if it was eating the giant chocolate button we found on sale there or not though!

Some pictures from the day are below.

More can be seen at Winter 2010 @ The Zentai Project. Hopefully, the magazine article should appear in January, so I’ll keep one eye out for it – Foreplay Magazine
