Erotica 2011 – Day One

Well, Day One of Erotica at Olympia (London) has been and gone, and this Dalmatian pup has finally returned home and managed to put paws to keyboard to write this blog post.

The day didn’t start off particularly brilliant, when some TFL problems on the Picadilly line meant the train that my owner and I intended to catch stopped short at Acton Town. Quick change to the District Line and some technological help (Google Maps) and a new plan was devised… although this meant that Spot arrived at Erotica with only 5 minutes to spare before it opened to the public. *paws over eyes*

The first item of the day was to say hello to people, including the people running the Bound 4 Bondage stall, Latex 101 and E-Stim Systems… we then went off for a wander to see what was where around the show. It was only afterwards that I realised I should have been on my lead at this point, but with both of us harassed due to the Tube problems, I don’t think we thought about it!

The wander around resulted in us ending up back at the stand (K6, in case you’re wondering!) and after being demonstrated their new magnetic locking system, I decided it was time to get in the cage… and hereafter the story of this blog becomes a bit fuzzy!

It was interesting when someone came up to me an commented that it was “nice to finally meet Spot in person as I’ve been reading your blog for ages” – it’s nice to know people are reading this and also want to meet me! *waves paw at the person concerned* (Leave a comment on the post if you want!)

The interesting thing is that many people end up a little surprised when I’m in the cage… but for varying different reasons. The security guards, and some of the other stall holders find it a little strange that I enjoy being in the cage… The public find it strange for the same reason, but also get a bit of a fright when I move slightly; as many think that I’m a dummy or anamatronic. The thing is, I absolutely love being confined in a 3ft x 2ft 6 x 2ft dog cage!

I spent a few hours in the cage, but my owner came to fetch me just after 2pm so that I could go and get some food and prepare for the next bit of the afternoon. After a rather lovely sausage sandwich, I headed down to the disabled loo and changed out of the Dalmatian Lycra Zentai and changed in to my Latex 101 custom made Dalmatian Latex suit as I was helping with a part of a talk on what to wear to a Fetish Club.

My owner explains:

The talk began with a bit about why this topic comes up – Fetish Club dress codes etc. and then a lady (I can’t remember the name) took the audience through what females could wear at the clubs. Then it was the turn of Richard from Latex 101 and in walked Spot, Joel, Seany and someone else (sorry!) demonstrating the other ranges you can wear… from just a latex top, to shorts + t-shirt to two different varieties of full body clothes. After their stint, the original compère took over and explained how you can add accessories to normal clothing using items made of Latex to meet the dress-codes of clubs

After the presentation, we decided to take a couple of better pictures of Latex Spot, which are included at the end of this blog post.

On the return journey after getting changed back to the Zentai, my owner and I bumped into the writer of “The Zentai Invasion” article, that was done last year for a (now defunct) magazine – ForePlay.

I ended up back in the cage at this point (*wags*) and spent a bit longer in there until it was time to get out and have another break for the loo and to stretch legs. At this point, my owner had seen something that he thought I might like (a heavy metal collar) but as it’s probably chrome-plated, it might be best if we don’t look at it too strongly due to my allergic reactions. I was also given back my E-Stim remote box that I’d accidentally broken, so this could be a bad thing (or maybe not ;))

Again, I ended up back in the cage, and with a couple more toilet breaks, the day came to a close. However, the last thing I remember of the show was being given back rubs and, I think, falling asleep at the same time.

So that’s what Day One brings… Day Two of Erotica begins in just over 10 hrs time, and I know that for me it will bring more of the same, but I hope to also get some pictures as well.

Don’t forget to come and say hello 🙂 and if you saw me at the show feel free to comment on this post!

P.S – I’ve been posting occasional updates to Twitter during the show, so feel free to follow me over there – I’m @zentaispot unsurprisingly *wags tail*

The walkabout happened back in November and you can read about it at the November Walkabout post

Have a read and enjoy 🙂

Regular readers of my blog will recall that back at the end of November, in the midst of all the snowy weather, I went out for a Zentai Walkabout along the South Bank with others from the Zentai Project as part of an article that was being written to appear in a magazine known as “Foreplay”.

This issue has now been released (Issue 9) with a blue front cover and ‘Pansexuals’ on the spine. The article appears on Page 62 (entitled The Zentai Invasion), and reads quite well.

November Walkabout

The last Sunday in November saw Spot having an outing to the South Bank… anyone with a good memory will know that in the run up to the end of November, there was lots of snow and freezing temperatures around the country – including London!

Now, The Zentai Project participants do not normally do walkabout’s this late in the year, but there was a special reason for this one – Foreplay Magazine wanted to do a feature on Zentai and the walkabouts we do, so this was specially arranged after much discussion.

The afternoon started with layering up the lycra – a Yellow Leotard as the base layer, then my Hoodless White Zentai followed by Spot’s normal Dalmatian Zentai. This isn’t what’s normally done – it’s usually just a white thong under the Zentai for public appearances, but due to the absolutely freezing weather, layers were the only option. Colin, the photographer, found it cold in his normal clothes but strangely, it wasn’t actually too bad in the Zentai – probably to do with the even coverage all over…

After everyone else had got changed (4 people from the group – the most we’ve had on a zentai walkabout – and Sarah, the editor of the magazine), it was decided that logically, it was best to brave the cold then conduct the interviews, giving us a chance to warm up again! We headed from the Royal Festival Hall along the South Bank heading towards the Tate Modern direction, stopping along the way for the inevitable posed photograph for the magazine, as well as random photographs with members of the public.

The most random occurrence of the day was when we stopped to get our photos taken, and one of the members of the public pulled their phone out their pocket to ask if I was the Dalmatian in the photograph she was showing me… which turned out to be a picture of me in the cage at Erotica the week before – small world! After the photos were done, we headed in to the National Theatre hoping to find a cuppa, where the editor conducted an interview with us all.

We then went and got changed and headed off to Starbucks to relax and have more of an informal chat about various things, whereupon the editor picked up that Spot is most definitely a pup! I’m not sure if it was eating the giant chocolate button we found on sale there or not though!

Some pictures from the day are below.

More can be seen at Winter 2010 @ The Zentai Project. Hopefully, the magazine article should appear in January, so I’ll keep one eye out for it – Foreplay Magazine
