Spot Outings

This seems to have been a quiet month in the life of Spot, and to a huge degree, it actually has been… since Hero’s, I’ve been very busy with work, and also was away on holiday for a week (with my family, so no Spot time). I did, however, spend some of the holiday doing about 12 miles of Kayaking over a period of 4-5 days, so from that point of view, it was good fun.

However, Spot has been out and about and that’s what this post is about – so on with the update.

The first outing after Heros this month for Spot was at a fun run – where I won ‘Best Fancy Dress’ which was quite fun. I also raised over Β£300 for Charity by completing a fun run dressed as Spot – about 5.3km and came in 4th or 5th out of about 100 participants – although the main thing was the money for Charity. Thanks to all the readers of the blog who sponsored me. *wags tail*

I suppose the longest, and most blog worthy outing that Spot had this month was last night, when my owner and I attended a Slapstick Comedy night being held in Birmingham. I’m not really in to Sploshing / WAMing, but my owner is and is a member of the club that was organising the event – SLOSH. I was asked if I wouldn’t mind doing the technical stuff (sound and lights) for the show. Naturally, I said yes as my owner was going along to the show anyway.

As it seemed convenient to do so, and it wouldn’t be an issue at the event, it was decided before we left that I’d travel from home to Birmingham wearing Lycra, and probably do the show wearing Lycra as well. However, before we left, we also decided that we’d take one of the Spot Zentai suit’s along as well, so that I could change in to it if I wanted to.

We travelled to Birmingham, parked in the same Car Park we park in if we’re going to the Birmingham Bizarre Bazar and found that the pub was actually quite easy to find from there – firstly, it was at the end of the road, and secondly, we managed to follow someone that my owner recognised. *wags*

When we arrived at the venue, I started to get acquainted with the “box” I was going to be spending the night in (nothing kinky – it’s just where the technical stuff is operated from!) and also started with setting up the radio microphone I was providing, while other people were covering up the venue with polythene and dressing it. Rehearsals for the various scripted bits of the event were also well underway at this time, and I was getting the hang of the script and the sound effects. Rehearsals continued (clean!) for a bit and eventually my owner and I went for dinner.

While we were out, we were discussing what I would do regarding my outfit for the evening, and eventually, we decided that it was the type of event where people would potentially know me, and therefore I decided it would be best if I dressed as Spot for the evening. On arrival back at the pub, we had a quick drink then both set off to get changed – as my owner was part of one of the pre-written sketches for the show, and I then sat down in my seat for the evening.

Throughout the night, I received comments from various members of the audience about my outfit, which was nice… and when I was outside having a “breath of fresh air” at the interval, someone came up to me and asked me if I was ZentaiSpot (I obviously answered “yes”) and got chatting to him while we were outside.

Unfortunately, at the end of the night, my owner and I had to dash off though as I had work the next day.

September Heros

Well, the first Sunday of the month has just gone past … and that can only mean one thing … Heros

*wags*

After an interesting weekend of playing with diggers; I was a good pup (I think), and digging big holes in a garden and not burying anything, I went home and got cleaned up and showered, before heading of out into London for Heros.

My Owner and I arrived about 20 mins after it had officially opened, though at that point there were not that many people there. We stood at the bar, and the bar man asked “A Cider and a Coke?” we agreed πŸ™‚ … anyone would have thought that we were regulars!!!

Rover (another pup I know) arrived shortly after us, and once I’d had my drink, I dropped to the floor and enjoyed batting around his new chew toy, which was a sort of plastic ball with beads in it and a chewy sort of cage around the plastic part of the ball. From above I heard the comment “I wonder if it’s Spot proof?” (You see I have this knack of breaking toys) … Well, next thing I knew it was between my teeth, and I gave it a good hard shaking … it survived, though my head was spinning from the vigors of shaking my head around so hard!!

*Paws over eyes* … not sure what else went on that night *tail between legs* … I know for most of the night, I was stood up on my back paws only, but not really paying attention to what was going on.

One bit I do remember, was the barman (Mark) became curious about my liking of Bonios (the real dog biscuits) and so I offered him one. He snapped of a bit and tried it … to which he seemed not to like (Silly humans) so I finished off the rest of it.

We stayed long after the official end time of Heros, but was having a really pleasant chat with Rover and Tracker(?), though like a lot of these things, it had to come to an end eventually and so at about 10:30pm, we said our goodbyes to Mark, and went to change and head home.

Sorry it’s all a bit vacant in content, but when out in pup mode – be it on two legs or 4 – I often am unable to recall events. … maybe my owner can add to this post and fill in the blanks

Spot

Spot spent some more time on the floor, playing with Rover’s new toy (which was actually surprisingly heavy – no wonder he had a sore head!) and as well as playing with a soft small football as well. The toy did seem to be Spot proof though, as it survived the night! Although I’m not sure if a squeaky toy or a rattling toy is worse…

Some of the time he was also running around on all 4s playing with the other pups that were there, making mischief as usual… some of the time when he was on two legs he was doing friendly introductions to people that were new at Heros and having a discussion with them about the club – hopefully they’ll come back again πŸ˜€

During the course of the night, I think the most bizarre discussion that was held was on how to improve the taste of Bonios… some of the options up for discussion was dunking it in coffee (like you would do with Rusks), covering it in chocolate or dunking it in a pint. I’m not sure which option Spot would prefer… he seems to like them straight out the box given he consumed about half a box during the course of the evening!

Bank Holiday Weekend Away

You might think a Bank Holiday weekend would provide opportunities for a kinky weekend away – and that my owner and I would jump at the chance to take advantage of this. Admittedly, we did have a weekend away, but the only jumping in our weekend away was me doing a “Walk the Plank” of a boat into a River. However, more on that later πŸ™‚

The start of our weekend away saw us attending the Civil Partnership of two friends of ours, who have been mentioned on the blog before – Scamp and Mark. This was a very nice ceremony held down near Kew Gardens, but I was told in advance that I had to dress up smart, and couldn’t go in Spot – as tempting as it may have been. We then joined them for the photographs, but unfortunately, had to dash off after that for a 5hr drive up North.

Part of my instructions for the weekend away was that I wasn’t allowed to pack “domestic” clothes, and that all I was allowed to wear for the weekend was Lycra… and this started as soon as we found the first Service Station on the M1 – going in for a drink and a loo stop, then when back outside I changing out my trousers and shirt into some running tights and a t-shirt for the drive up. Apart from seeing some really fantastic lightning though, the drive up was fairly boring.

The Sunday morning I was wearing a sprint suit so that I could go and participate in a bizarre race. Anyone following me on Twitter (or via the box on the side of the website) would have seen my tweets about it – it’s a race that involves about 10km of running BUT also interspersed on this are obstacles – some scaffolding, cargo net, inflatable assault course, swimming, running up and down 3 large hills, crossing the VERY top of a bridge (over the structure), more swimming, kayaking, and finally the bit alluded to at the start of this blog post – walking off a plank on the side of a boat in to the river (I think it was some 8 – 10m from the plank to the water)! This race is very silly, but exceedingly good fun… and I finished it in around 61 minutes, and finished in the top 10% of results.

After this, we went back to the hotel and I got changed in to a different Lycra outfit, and we headed off to an outlet village with an Adidas shop and a few others… but on wandering around there, I didn’t really find anything that took my fancy so my wallet stayed firmly implanted in a pocket. After this, however, we headed back to the hotel and I was feeling reasonably good so as a “reward” for doing so well in the race, my owner wired me up to some E-Stim, put me in a thick Lycra sleep sack we’ve borrowed from a friend and finished it off with the muzzle, changing the feelings of the E-Stim periodically while he culled some of the photos he’d taken of the race.Β  Eventually, he needed my help so had to release me from the sack, and we finished off the photos and went out to meet a friend for dinner.

Monday, I again spent the entire day in Lycra but this time I had the Addidas Techfit Sprint Suit on underneath my running tights to provide me with a bit of support as my legs were letting me know they were there. We headed out up the coast a bit to try and find a nice beach where we could do some photos in a wetsuit, but with it being a bank holiday, they were all slightly busy – but it was nice to see parts of the area we’d not seen before. We arrived back at the hotel, and I changed in to a Adidas Pro Powerweb Swimming Suit under my tights for a bit to get a bit more support, and we went to explore the area around where we were staying. To be honest, it looks like Urban Regeneration gone wrong – lots of new build offices and buildings, but with nothing in them.

Both before and after dinner, I was put back in the Sleepsack again, and teased and tormented with the E-Stim box but left just on the edge of release each time… VERY wound up pup! I did eventually get the release I wanted but Hands Free (just the E-Stim box attached) when we were back at home.

It’s nice to be able to get away and spend time out and about in Lycra, and from that point of view I really enjoyed the weekend away – and the race is just as interesting as well… already looking forward to booking for next year!

Loads of pictures taken for the website’s Lycra Choices section – which should be uploaded in the next week or so.

It’s Heros on Sunday night, looking forward to seeing some of you there.
